NFTs or non-fungible tokens are digital collectibles that can be considered quite rare and worthy of collecting much like some of those awesome Babe Ruth baseball cards. Since the rise of crypto and blockchain technology, NFTs have emerged as a popular way to store digitally scarce items.

In fact, hip hop legend Snoop Dogg who’s debut album Doggystyle sold over 10 million records (achieving diamond status) has been at the forefront of embracing cutting-edge technologies like NFTs and other digital items.

Why though? Over the years, Snoop Dogg continues to remain relevant even though his music career peaked almost 20 years ago. Kids or young ones, who consume most of the music these days, are not all that interested in listening to Snoop Dogg songs. They would, for the most part, much rather listen to crap like Lil Baby or Murda B or even worse Cardi B stuff. But that’s totally Okay because Snoop Dogg the Legend has graced the Olympic Stage and performed with his homie Dr. Dre at the Super Bowl.

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to controversy either and has come a long way since his thugged out image back in the early 1990’s when Murder was Really the Case that they gave him, so to speak. Crypto has something for everyone, regardless of age and preferences. And Snoop Dogg totally gets it. He’s coming out with new ideas on the daily.

While Rappers like Eminem and Ja Rule continue to focus on staying relevant through new music, Snoop Dogg has been known to do his share of interviews and podcasts as well. He has also learned to stay away from all that Diddy and Will Smith type drama for the most part. Ever since he dropped songs like Drop it Like its Hot and P.I.M.P. with 50 Cent in the 2000’s, Snoop Dogg has continued to innovate and reinvent himself.

Snoop has done really well for himself financially and on a social level. Although he might have been criticized for smoking too much weed, even his professional blunt roller was talking a lot of smack. Basically just exaggerating about how much dope or blunts Snoop Dogg smokes on the daily. And while he may not be perfect, he has been known to give awesome tributes to the likes of Tupac Shakur back in 2017. And also when rapper Nipsey Hussle passed in 2019.

You could argue that Snoop is a caring person who is very much in touch with the latest technological trends. With this type of personality, you can be sure that Snoop Dogg will With this type of personality, you can be sure that Snoop Dogg will continue to spot the latest trends in the Web3 space, particularly as they relate to the growing world of Hip Hop and entertainment.
