Finance is a hot topic these days and everyone should get involved. But when you are up on a stage next to people like billionaire Michael Saylor, it is probably a good idea for sports legends like Scottie Pippen to avoid talking about stuff they are clueless on. Scottie Pippen knows a ton about basketball but the 6 time NBA champ is very clueless about finance.
Scottie Pippen reportedly said that he met Satoshi Nakamoto in the 1990s. If you know anything about the Bitcoin creator, then he was never big on revealing much about himself. Many fake people have come forward to claim they are Satoshi but they are deceptive and have lied to us all. Scottie Pippen began to talk about how great his experience was when talking to Satoshi but that is all nonsense.
Finance Is for Experts Not Novices
If you are a sports legend, then stick to what you know best. Trying to offer opinions and analysis on things like finance is probably not going to look very good for you. But honestly, Scottie has been unstable for the past few years with his son passing away and him getting divorced from Larsa Pippen. Still though, Scottie should stay composed and avoid topics like finance. In fact, the guy made millions as an NBA player but lost most of his fortune due to money mismanagement.
With that being said, finance is a topic for the experts. You can learn from the experience of industry professionals and gradually build up an investment portfolio. By diversifying your investments, you can be on your way to making long-term gains consistently. Now back to Scottie Pippen for a bit. His time with the Bulls was truly legendary but we want to point out here that it can be very dangerous for celeb to endorse certain cryptocurrencies or speculative NFT and web3 projects.
Finance Should Be a Topic for Qualified Professionals
Another basketball legend had backed FTX but then it collapsed. This led to Shaq getting suied because he was accused of backing scams and fraudulent projects like many other celebs did because they did not do their proper research. Given these issues, Scottie Pippen should stay away from the world of finance. But to be clear, what this really means is that he should not be sitting on a public stage and talking extensively on topics that are out of his areas of expertise.
Another point to be noted is that just because someone is a legend in basketball like Scottie Pippen, then that does not mean they can talk competently about topics they have no proven experience in or knowledge of. Now to point out a few more things. When investing or trying to explore various opportunities in finance, always do your own research and try to diversify your investments as much as possible. Also never expect to get results overnight because good things can take time. Be patient!
