200 Years of Wisdom: Henry Kissinger and Charlie Munger Dropped the Most Epic Knowledge Bombs

Suppose you are alive and reading this blog post. In that case, you should appreciate the fact that you lived during a time when (arguably) two of the greatest men in modern history, Henry Kissinger and Charlie Munger, walked the surface of the Earth — until recently. Yes, during the past week or so, both magnificent personalities have left us. Amazingly, these men were both around 100 years old.

Not only did Henry Kissinger and billionaire Charlie Munger achieve huge success in this world, but they also lived much longer than most with the life expectancy of men globally still hovering below 70 years of age.

Without going into all those trivial details you can easily Google, it is worth noting that Charlie Munger told us that getting to your first $100,000 in savings is the hardest part ever.

Once you have reached this milestone, it becomes easier (at least theoretically) to acquire even more wealth and become a multi-millionaire or that less than 1 in a million chance of becoming a billionaire.

Inspiration and Learning.

Now that Warren Buffett’s iconic business partner has left us, what can we learn from this experience? In a nutshell, we can understand and appreciate the fact that earning money is hard, but managing it is even harder or trickier.

For the most part, though, it requires a lot of hard work and discipline. Now I have not forgotten about the iconic Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Although controversial in some aspects, the man gave us a lot to ponder and think about in the long term.

Vision and Insight

There will never be another like Henry Kissinger because his vision and insights were unique. For context, Henry Alfred Kissinger was a seasoned American diplomat, renowned political scientist, geopolitical expert, and world-famous politician.

Who served as the US Secretary of State as well as national security advisor in the presidential administrations of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. between 1969 and 1977.

Wrapping Up

For all you Gen Z’s out there, that sounds like such a long time ago. But, it is worth going back and reading over what both these incredible gentlemen contributed to this world. Although nobody is perfect, we can even learn from the worst of our enemies.

No man is your friend, no man is your enemy, No man is perfect, but every man can be your teacher if you let them! Stay positive, receptive, approachable, coachable, and humble.
